  15th E. of Errol. Changed his name to Hay fought on the Hanoverian side at the Battle of Culloden (opposite to his father) and was allowed to inherit the Kilmarnock lands in 1751. He sold these when he succeeded to the earldom of Errol through his great aunt Mary Hay (Countess of Erroll in her own right) when she died in 1758.
