The flamboyant millionaire- full name George Albert Harley De Vere Drummond-is a godson of late King George VI and was born at Windsor Castle.
And he has told his 31-year-old film producer son that he stands to inherit one of the oldest titles in Britain.
Drummond is understood to be part of the ancient Heathcoate-Drummond-Willoughby family, which holds the 700-year-old title Baron Willoughby de Eresby.
Whoever has the barony also becomes the Joint Hereditary Lord Great Chamberlain of England-a very senior position within the royal household. He attends the Queen at state functions and walks backwards before her at the opening of parliament.
Drummond is also discussing another, extinct title with the Royal College of Arms. Members of his family used to hold the ancient Earldom of Oxford which passed through the Willoughby family-motto: My loyalty compels me.
Drummond has traced his roots back to Edward Harley, the second Earl of Oxford and hehas told friends the college will soon recognise him as the heir general to the earldom.
So Matthew could one day become Earl of Oxford...with Claudia as his Countess.
