  Dish-turner 1. Sources disagree about our Thomas Brown's parents. However, our information comes from the documented ancient tradition in the family of Content Brown, daughter of Humphrey Brown, that she was a descendant of Peter Browne of the Mayflower, through Thomas Brown, of Lynn, Massachusetts, and his wife Mary Newhall. We have recorded our Thomas' ancestry twice: FIRST, according to the Chesebrough source as Thomas Brown (of Peter) the son of Peter Browne, and then SECOND, according to the Wood source with Thomas Brown (Nicholas) the son of Nicholas Brown. In both scenarios, Mary Newhall and Thomas' descendants are the same and correct as there is no conflict with Thomas Brown, of Lynn, Massachusetts, being the correct person. 2. The Wheeler and Brown sources record Thomas(1 or 2) originally from Middlesex, England. This conflicts with the Chesebrough and Woods sources recording his origin in or near Lynn. This also compounds the problem of confirming Thomas' parentage. 3. Records of Thomas' will spelled his name "Browne". 4. The mother of Thomas(1) is uncertain according to the Mayflower source but his birth date is consistent with his mother as we have recorded.
