    • Comfort resided on his father's homestead in Franklin at the junction of the roads leading to Plain Hill and Pautipaug Hill. Beaver Brook crossed the latter near where the two roads intersect. Comfort Fillmore was a farmer. Comfort and Zerviah had 14 children; seven sons and seven daughters. Comfort and Zerviah are both buried in the 'Old Burying Ground' in Pautipaug Cemetery.

      After the death of Comfort the Fillmore homestead passed to his youngest son, Comfort Day Fillmore.

      Comfort Fillmore (1742-1823) was a member of the committee of Norwich, Conn., in 1781, which provided clothes for the soldiers. He was born and died in Norwich, Conn.
