Accused (1650's) of attempting seduction of wife of a local leader. Also accused in the same vein of attempting to poison the leader himself. All charges were dropped upon investigation by parish officials. He remained the minister of the parish for some 40 years.
Library held over 400 books, huge for the time & place.
