      Funeral Services for Malvin Pommer 61 of Ogden were held Monday January 24, 1972 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Ogden with Father Leo Schumacher officiating. Internment was in Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry. Rosary was held Sunday, January 23 at 8 p.m. Special organ music was provided by Mrs. Glenn Seeman. Pallbearers were Larry Reed, Darrell Heck, Don Huntley, Gary Kelleher, Gene Hager and Leo Lawler. Malvin Pommer was born May 21, 1920 in South Dakota, the son of George and Flora Pommer and died Friday, January 21, 1972, in Ogden. He was married to Mercedes Keenan, November 1, 1928. He was a farmer all of his life and farmed in the Ogden area since 1956. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, Ogden. Survivors include his wife, Mercedes; two sons, Kenneth of Otho and Marvin of Des Moines; five brothers, Gene, Donald, Ben and John Jr. all of Perry and Alvin of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Lelia) Heck of Ogden and Mrs. Olive Cornelison of Perry; his stepmother Mr. George Pommer of Perry and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
