    • Commission was granted to (Lucas or Susan?) Mary Courtney widow and relict of John Courtney, late of Lisburn in Co. Antrim, Gent. Decd intestate to administer the goods of sd decd to her own use and to the use of Hercules, Edward, Savage, Rowland, Anne, & Catherine Courtney minors, natural and legitimate children of sd decd. Directed to Brent Spencer and Rudolph Smith Esq. D. 8 March 1721.

      Prerogative Will Proved 31 July 1756 of Mary Courtenay reads as follows: "Mary Courtenay of the City of Dublin, widaw. Whereas there is 400 pounds due to me by John Trotter of Downpatrich, Co. Down, Esq. by bond I do bequeath said 400 pounds to Francis Hall of Strongford Co. Down Esq. and Robert Carson of City of Dublin gent in trust that the interest of 200 pounds be paid by them to my daughter, Ann Winder als Courtenay - & after her decease the sd 200 pounds to be divided between my grandson John Winder & my granddaughter Ann Winder to be paid to them at the age of 21 yrs or day of marriage. To cousin Rose Savage, dau of Stephen Savage of Ballyvally Co Down Gt. 10 pounds. To Maria C.,widow of my son Hercules C.decd 20 pounds. To Robert Carson the younger son of the above named Robert Carson 15 pounds. To friend John Trotter 20 pounds. I do hereby release and forever discharge my son Edwd C. for all debts and demands whatsoever. All the residue of my goods to Sarah Gentleman widr, my sister.
