Notes |
- Father was a railroad conductor.
She began her career singing and dancing at clubs along her father's route.
Converted to Catholism to marry the Catholic DiMaggio; convention at the time held that the bride-to-be had to convert to her finace's faith before their wedding.
She had made several films for Universal starting in 1938, but after her marriage to DiMaggio she gave up acting. Although the two divorced in 1944, Arnold did not try to resume her career and only made one other film, 1957's "Lizzie."
