  Her obituary found in the 4-20-1900 Zumbro Falls Independent stated she died of blood poisoning. She was survived by her husband, 2 children (1 only a week old), her father, Geo. Duncan, 2 brothers: G. J. and William of Bear Valley, 5 sisters: Mrs. H. H. Judd, Mrs. J. Jones, and Mrs. O'Connell of Bear Valley, Mrs. Lincecum of Texas, and Miss Maud Duncan of Ohio. Services were held at the Bear Valley School House.
