  Farmed in Clintonville area until 1929 when he married. At their marriage, attendants were Verne Schneidewent, Ida Nueske, August Witt, and Raymond Dallman. Ruth Heiling, daughter of Martin Heiling, served as flower girl, "carrying a basket of snapdragons, daisies, and sweet peas." Oren Schneidewent, brother of the bride, served as ring bearer. The bride was "prettily attired in white satin wearing a long veil caught back with ornaments, with footwear to match, carried an arm bouquet of roses. The brides maids wore gowns of pink crepe with corsages of sweet peas and snap dragons." A reception for about 75 guests was held in the evening at the home of the bride's parents. The couple initially farmed. He then moved to Clintonville and was employed by the D. J. Rohrer Lumber Co. He later moved to Catawba, WI, where he farmed and cleared land. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Phillips, WI.
