• Notes

  Witnesses to the 1891 marriage were Karl Zeschke (a Tobian relative) and Ludwig Witt. John Witt, the son of Fred and Anna Witt, recalled that Charles raised rabbits for medical research. Address at time of death: 2514 Hainesworth Avenue, (North Riverside) Chicago where he had been living for 6 years. Died of cerebral hemorrhage and myocarditis. His obituary stated he came to America as a young man and located in Chicago. He sold his Larabee farm 6 years before his death and returned to Chicago where he married his deceased brother's (Fred) widow, Louisa (known as Lizzy).
