• Notes

  Joseph and his family got a certificate to Miami Co., OH from Bush River MM, SC on Aug. 30, 1806. Joseph was the founder of the West Milton, Ohio according to that town's Sesquicetenial Celebration. He built the 2nd mill on Stillwater and was an industrious Quaker. He was such an astute business man that were called "Quaker Aristocrats" about the time they were disowned according to a adendum to the "Annals of Newberry." (C-236)
