REF: Ralph Dean: Edmond had finished some 50 bomber missions when his luck ran out. He was shot down twice; the first time, he and the crew managed to get back to England; the second time, over the Bay of Genoa, all was lost. His remains were recovered in 1949 and interred in a National Cemetery in Italy. Half blood Native American.
