Agreement for finishing an compleating a House at the South West corner of South Street near Finsbury Square and for assigning the Lease thereof and for granting and Under lease of Ground adjoining from

Mr Anthony Morland

         to

Dr Joseph Fox

 

Articles of agreement indented made and concluded and agreed upon this fourth day of April 1795 Between Anthony Morland of the parish of St John at Hackney in the County of Middlesex, Builder of the one part and Joseph Fox of Mark Lane in the City of London, Doctor in Physic of the other part in manner and form following that is to say....

 

1794 October 7 Leased to builder Anthony Morland to build a house....

 

And whereas the said Joseph Fox hath contracted and agreed with the said Anthony Morland for the absolute purchase of the said related Indenture of Lease and the Messuage or Tenement Ground and premises thereby demised including the works to be done performed by the said Anthony Morley in finishing and compleating the said Messuage or Tenement and the footways steps area and iron rails before the front thereof and works and improvements mentioned and expressed in the description and particular hereunder written and also for an Under Lease of a piece or parcel of other Ground hereinafter mentioned and described at and for the price of £1,400 of lawful money of Great Britain.......

 

All work to be finished by 1st August next (1795) ......

 

Lease from Lady Day next for 61 years........
