  • Notes
    • Lola owned property adjoining what use to be property of her husbands in section 34 of Raccoon Township in 1900. Other divisions of section 34 belonged to all of her brothers and sisters except for Sonora. As she received her father's farm from her father, this could be that same property. (CL-12,142)
Lola Tobin Clark made many quilts. She specifically gave one of the "Grandmother's Flower Garden" patterned quilt to her granddaughter Wanda as she was the oldest daughter in that side of the family. She asked her to give it to her oldest daughter. Her daughter Grace Ann still has it in safe keeping. (CL-290)
Her birthdate and mother's maiden name appear to be incorrect on her death certificate as 10/16/1862 d. of Mary Gaskins. The info was provided by her son, William E. Clark, but neither piece of info correlates with any other document found on her. Her death certificate stated that she was a housekeeper in her own home for 50 years. The last date of her occupation at this task was in 1935, five years before her death. She died of cardo Vascular Reval Disease. (CL-DOC)
