Kenneth H. Thomas, Jr. Litleberry and Mary Ann moved c. 1860 to Sumter Co. near his father's plantation. He enlisted at Americus in 1862 in Capt. Cutts Co., Sumter Flying Artillery and his unit served in Va. until the war's end. His brothers Wileym, Jr. and Jesse T. enlisted in the same unit. They were at the battles of the Wilderness, Spottsylvania Courthouse, Hanover Junction, and Petersburg.

Weekly Sumter Republican reports that Walker was killed in an argument with his partner over the proceeds of a flying jenny, or merry-go-round . . . his wife died in a burst of grief the following day.
Littleberry was a farmer and was buried on his farm at the time of his accidental death at age 42. In 1918 he and his wife were reinterred in Oak Grove Cemetery, Americus. Jimmy and his uncle Alton located the burial site from cemetery records and had markers placed on their graves.
