    • Duke of Clarence, later koning van Groot Brittanie en Ierland en Koning van Hannover 1830-1837. Volgde zijn broer George IV op. Werd in Engeland opgevolgd door zijn nicht Victoria en in Hannover door zijn broer Ernst August.
      Shipmate and friend of John Guyon (17676-1844). Gave him a grant of arms, pedigree reorded at college of arms in 1840.
      K├Ânig von Hannover und Gro├čbritannien . Da K├Ânig Georg IV. 1830 ohne Nachkommen verstab, seine einzige Tochter Charlotte ├╝berlebte ihren Vater nicht, erbte sein j├╝ngerer Bruder Wilhelm Herzog von Clarence den Thron in Gro├čbritannien und Hannover. K├Ânig Wilhelm IV. trat 65j├Ąhrig die Regierung an. Als K├Ânig besuchte Wilhelm IV. das K├Ânigreich Hannover aber nicht mehr. In Gro├čbritannien kam es w├Ąhrend seiner Regierung zum Erla├č verschiedener liberaler Gesetze. In Hannover entlie├č K├Ânig Wilhelm IV. den reaktion├Ąren Minister Graf M├╝nster. Der K├Ânig ernannte seinen j├╝ngeren Bruder Adolph Friedrich 1831 zum Vizek├Ânig von Hannover. Im Jahre 1833 unterzeichnete K├Ânig Wilhelm IV. das hannoversche Staatsgrundgesetzt, das u.a. Bauern und B├╝rgern Zugang zur 2. Kammer der St├Ąndeversammlung verschaffte. Gleichzeitg wurden darin die Bauern von ihren Lasten und Abgaben befreit (Bauernbefreiung). Seine zwei T├Âchter ├╝berlebten den Vater nicht. Mit dem Tod von Wilhelm IV. 1837 endete die 123j├Ąhrige Personalunion zwischen Hannover und Gro├čbrtannien. In Hannover bestieg sein j├╝ngerer Bruder Ernst August den Thron und in Gro├čbritannien erbte seine Nichte Victoria die Krone.
