    • Joh.Jost Petrie of Annsbeerg was a soldier in 1711 (Palatine Vol. to Canada.
      He made is initial appearance in Amer. on the Hunter rolls as #568 on 31 Dec 1710 with 2 persons over 10 yrs of age. Just Petri and Anna Catharina with 3 children were at Neu-Annsberg 1716 (Simmedinger Register) Johan Jost Petrie was a patentee on the n. side of the Mohawk 30 Apr 1725 (Burnetsfield Pat.) He was a magistrate of his village and was taken prisoner of the French in 1757 (Herkimer Co. NY p.41 , history)
      The ancestral roots of this Mohawk Valley family were at 6349 Breitscheid (8 km. w. of Herborn Chbks begin in 1636 however there were gaps.
