  His obituary in the 10-16-1974 Culver Citizen stated he was a life-long Culver resident. He was a building contractor in Culver and the neighboring Maxinkuckee communities. He was a member of the former Maxinkuckee Methodist Church. He was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Irma) Overmyer of Naperville, IL; two step daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Forth of Piedmont, CA, and Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Cole of Paxton, MA; one stepson, Richard Van Schoiack of Millcreek, and 15 grandchildren.
