  • Notes
    • grew up in Jefferson City, MO. She attended the University of Missouri and Chillicothe Business College before her marriage to W. C. Savage. She returned to the home of her parents when her husband went overseas for the war. Soon after his return, they began their new life travelling from coast to coast for the oil business. Nelda spent her life raising her family and being a devoted wife. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Houston “Lazy Daisy” Garden Club. She also enjoyed painting, entertaining friends, travelling to various parts of the world (especially on cruises), and collecting rocks as souvenirs of her trips. She was a beautiful tiny lady full of life, energy, and love.
