- King of Orleans. (511-524).
Chlodomir, the second son of Clovis and Clotilda, became King of Orleans upon his father's death in 511 A.D. Chlodomir was killed fighting the Burgundians with his brothers, at the Battle of Vezeronce (524 A.D). Two of his sons, Theobald and Gontaire, were killed by their uncles, Childebert I and Chlotar I, who then shared the kingdom of Orleans between them. Chlodomir's third son succeeded in escaping and he became St. Cloud.
