    • At the time of the marriage of Charles James and Anne Mary Guion, Charles was living at the St John, Isle of Thanet (later called Margate), Kent. Their eldest son Charles James was born there as well.
      There was an early hospital - sanitarium for TB in Margate. Since this was a specialty of Dr Charles James Fox, he may have been studying there, or at least gaining practical experience.

      Anne Mary was living at New Windsor.

      The marriage took place at New Windsor.
      Witnesses were Joseph Fox (his father), R.D. Mitchell (his brother in law), & Anna Maria Dore ?????

    Dear Sir,

    We have checked the details contained in your email and confirm that Charles James Fox along with his family are buried here at St Mary's Cemetery.
    However it regrets me to say that these graves are no longer in exsistance, in the late 80's these graves were covered and more graves have been devolped above. I must stress that none of the graves have been disturbed in any way, although we would not be able to pin point exactly were the grave would be.

    • Note from Emily his daughter: Internist Consumption City Hospital te Londen.
      Through family circomstances Dr. Ch.J. Fox, aunt Mitchel (Mary) and aunt Sophy were sent to France and brought up as catholics by De Tremouille, a french lady.
    • Note from Sarah Ann Fox(-Smith): As he was the illegitimate son of Joseph, his uncle, Joseph's brother Edward Long Fox almost certainly paid for his education at Edinburgh, since the M.D. thesis (1825) is dedicated to "his patron, Edward Long Fox".(from correspondence of Dr. N.D. Richards (a medical historian) with Hubert Fox).
      Note from me: According to the same note Joseph Fox, his father, "accumulated a fortune full and adequate to supply his needs". I don't think the money of Edward Long (brother of Joseph) was needed to pay for his education in France and Edinburgh. Joseph lived in Greatwood Cottage with 4 servants (see his Last Will)

      Burial records from St Mary's Cemetery, Kensal Green list Charles James an Anne Mary both of 113 Forest Road Dalston, Sophia J Fox (same address) the wife of Charles James Fox (II) plus most of his family, but not himself.
      His son Charles James Fox(III) 1930 from 22 Cadogan Court, Chelsea was buried with his grandparents.
