    • Anne had secured title to land at Westover and Jordan's Point, ownership of which was claimed by her brother-in-law, John Bland in England.

John sent his son Giles (see Bacon's Rebellion) to sort out ownership of multiple estates claimed by Anne and the widow of Theodorick's brother, Edward &, presumably, to dispose of them.

There followed a lengthy legal battle which, although Anne (Bennett Bland) Codd secured ownership of Westover and Jordan's Point for her sons, resulted in the Codds departure for MD.

Anne was St Leger's second (at least) wife, he had married Anne Mottram earlier.
